What is Mindfulness and
Why is Mindfulness Important?

Are you feeling stressed and anxious / not feeling well / tired / unable to sleep, or do you want to relieve  such symptoms without going to a psychiatric clinic / taking medications?

If you identify with any of the above, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation may help with these symptoms and problems. It has long been said that illness starts in the mind, and in fact, stress and anxiety are often the cause of illness. As a medical practitioner specialised in psychosomatic medicine, I understand the benefits of mindfulness in my daily work with patients and in my own practice of it, and I truly want more people to experience these benefits.

Mindfulness is about facing your mind and body and becoming aware of your ‘individuality’. If you act according to your ‘individuality’, I believe that stress and anxiety will be reduced, illness will decrease, and the world will surely be a better place. If you learn mindfulness before you become ill, you will reduce your future risk of illness. If you suffer from a serious illness, you will be able to tackle it with a strong mindset, thanks to this practice. Through mindfulness and mindfulness meditation, we can support you in living a balanced and healthy life both physically and mentally.

A warm remark

As a doctor, I have become deeply aware of the fact that patients’ inner worlds present similarities but are also unique. I always strive to understand my patients in depth regardless of their diagnoses.

Supporting patients in learning mindfulness meditation and being with them through the "focusing" method, I am convinced that these two skills can be very effective in the treatment and/or prevention of illnesses of individuals.

I see mindfulness meditation and "focusing" as two sides of the same coin. If you can experience both sides of the coin, your life will be richer and healthier and I sincerely hope to support you in learning these methods.
